Danielle Goshay

Part of Fortune, 2023 works with found images altered by natural deterioration, water damage, and mold. Nature, temporality, and chance intervene on these familiar, universal scenes to distort, deform, and transform the subjects — child portraits discarded or lost by the previous owner — into reanimated, immortalized creatures.

Danielle Goshay is a Canadian/American artist, writer, and mentor based in Toronto whose practice includes experimental digital and film photography and alternative process. Goshay studied at Pittsburgh Filmmakers media arts center. She has exhibited work in Pittsburgh and Toronto and has been published internationally.
